Images show heavy integration of key features and the HTC hardware Pictures of what has been dubbed the Facebook
Phone have been leaked online ahead of its
official unveil later today. Facebook is set to unveil what is has described as
'its new home on Android' later this evening at an event in California. However, 9to5Google has
managed to get its hands on pictures of both the HTC phone – it claims will be
dubbed First – which appears to be based somewhat on the HTC One. It will be based
on Android, but use Facebook Home as a launch executor (similar to HTC's

The pictures reveal that most of Facebook's
key features are easily accessible from the home page, in addition to looking
pretty swanky too. We'll have full details of the device
when/if it launches later this evening.

what
the phone and OS looks like had remained a mystery.
It
should come as little surprise to industry observers that Facebook plans to
unveil both a rich, skinned version of its Android app at a press event
tomorrow, along with the first hardware to run that experience out of the box.
The phone, by HTC, is appropriately named “First”—appropriate because of its
status as the première phone to undergo Facebookification and its similarity to
the name of HTC’s newest flagship, the One. More screenshots follow:
